Sounds of the South
“Sounds of the South” is a semi-weekly music history program airing on Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
While working towards my Master of Arts at the University of Mississippi, I produced dozens of episodes of “Sounds of the South” with Dr. Charles Reagan Wilson.
During my two-year tenure with the show, I worked diligently to expand on the idea of who is considered a storied southern musician worthy of thoughtful inquiry. With this directive in mind, I produced episodes on a wide-variety of topics including Cassandra Wilson, Britney Spears, and Bessie Smith (pictured right).
